Welcome!
Welcome to Second Grade!
I am Lisa Puhala, and will be your student's second grade teacher. This will be my third year at Hesse and my tenth year teaching in the Savannah-Chatham School District.
I am originally from New Jersey but fell in love with charming Savannah, and moved here about ten years ago. I have a BA in Elementary Education from High Point University, a Master's Degree in Education from Georgia Southern University, and am also a Gifted Certified teacher. I am looking forward to working closely with you and to having a fantastic year!
You may contact me at any time through email: [email protected]
You may also call and leave a message any time and I will return the call as soon as possible. 912-395-6440.
Expectations:
What you and your student can expect of me is to provide a safe, positive, and caring environment as the setting for an exciting educational experience. I expect my students to always come to school prepared and willing to learn. Also, my students will always have to try their best! Nothing less is accepted in my classroom. I expect parents and guardians to take an active role in their student's education. This includes helping your student with the responsibilities of turning in ALL homework, assignments, and projects on time and making sure that your student comes to school prepared and ready to learn everyday. Your cooperation is an imperative part in my teaching, and your child's success!
